23 year old Sasha Banks - real name Mercedes Kaestner-Varnado - is making her mark in the wrestling industry, setting her sights on becoming 'the female version of The Rock' (Dwayne Johnson).

Signed to WWE, Banks clawed her way up through the company's developmental branch NXT, having previously wrestled for the likes of Chaotic Wrestling and New England Championship Wrestling, and made her debut on WWE's top show, RAW, in July 2015. Having held the NXT Women's Championship for 192 days, Banks - a cousin of Snoop Dogg - now aims to secure the top spot on the main roster and claim the Divas Championship, appearing on screens during a time which has been dubbed as 'the Divas revolution', with female athletes gaining more screen time and being recognised for their in ring skills.
